ASHA is a support group for Catholic homeschooling families in
the southeastern Indiana area. ASHA offers its members a forum
for sharing information and ideas on curriculum and field trips,
and the opportunity to get to know other families with similar
interests. Each month during the school yaer members can atend
a support group meeting and receive a newsletter packed iwth information.
In the fall we hold an all saint's party (a Christian alternative
to celebrating Halloween) and a Square Dance for member families.
In May we have a family picnic. Our membership is $15/year. You
need not be Catholic to be a member and no one will be turned
away who cannot afford the membership.

SCCFHE is an actie nonprofit home schooling support group founded
in 2003 for the purpose of serving the Lord Jesus Christ through
supporting and encouraging Switzerland County families interested
in home education. We publish a monthly newsletter and have several
activities during the month.

There
are several good regional and statewide e-lists for homeschoolers
throughout the state of Indiana. Because of the always changing
nature of many lists, it's hard to keep up with them. If you are
interested in finding a more specific or focused e-list, we suggest
you search YahooGroups.
You might also want to ask around on the IndianaHomeschoolers
List for recommendations. IndianaHomeschoolers is the largest
networking e-list in the state, and the best place to find answers
to most all homeschooling questions.

If any of you are interested in participating in a very active
homeschool e-group, I encourage you to check out this e-list.
Even though this says Dearborn, it actually consists of homeschoolers
from all around this area. There is always lots of good discussion
around curriculum, homeschool events, book sales, recipe sharing,
etc.

This group was formed for homeschoolers in Switzerland County
Indiana to help disperse information and opportunities for homeschoolers
in our area, as well as to get to know one another and exchange
ideas on everything from curriculum, field trips and other activities
for our children (and some for us too!). Our local library also
sends frequent updates to our list regarding their programs for
homeschoolers. It's a great way to keep up to date on things happening
in Switzerland County.
