New to Homeschooling? Please Read:

The motto of the Indiana Home Educators' Network is: Helping Hoosiers Homeschool. That's all we do. So you came to the right place.

Maybe you haven't arrived at the decision to homeschool on your own. (Beginning in Sept. of 2007, we heard rumors that some public school employees were reporting enrollment for some parents. Some are even told parents they had to homeschool. This is not legal, nor is it the right thing to do; forcing parents to homeschool when they might not do so otherwise. Please CLICK HERE to write us immediately so we can help.)

Maybe you decided you simply must start homeschooling yesterday and you aren't sure what to do first. No matter your situation, we want to help; and we can!. There are countless books, web sites, and resources available to you. The best news is: There's no rush. Relax. We'll do what we can to get you going in the right direction.

Please take a moment to help us help you, by telling us a little about your situation, where you're coming from and the circumstances that brought you to the decision to homeschool. One of our County Contact Volunteers will get in touch with you. We'll also send you our IHEN Help Page (PDF file) to help you on your way.
