Book Suggestion of the Month
> There are always great books about homeschooling and learning. Many are worth mentioning or highlighting. We use this section of the Front and Center panel to highlight a new book or two each month. (See the 2002 or 2003 Book of the Month Archives) Purchasing books from our associate, Amazon.com, helps us to continue fulfilling our mission: Helping Hoosiers Homeschool. Thank you!
> HERE'S AN INTERESTING BOOK THE SITE EDITOR TRIPPED OVER: The Good Citizen's Handbook : A Guide to Proper Behavior by Jennifer McKnight-Trontz
Suzanne Fields writes in Townhall.com: "Patriots aren't born, they're made. We're born citizens, but citizenship has to be learned. The Good Citizen's Handbook: A Guide to Proper Behavior, by Jennifer McKnight-Trontz, is a popular little book made up of advice from civics texts, citizenship manuals, government pamphlets, and Boy Scout manuals from the '20s to the '60s. The handbook covers everything from the value of red meat in the diet to the benefits of exercising daily. (Sounds up to date.)"
